This site was created for a local LARP group based off White Wolf's World of Darkness game, Changeling: the Lost. The theme of the site was based off the idea to make it look like an old stack of papers and research journal of someone who was categorizing the tales of the inhabitants of King George Cove, a fake city based off one of Washington's many charming coastal tourist towns.

Saturated colors and extra textures were used to give this site as realistic a feel as possible. I'm also particularly proud of the Christopher Columbus quote that I have restated here.

If you're curious about the game and live in the area, it takes place on Friday nights at 5:30pm at Western Washington University in Bond Hall.

"A day in the life of your not so average gamer girl."

When I decided that I wanted to write a blog for the first time, it was very difficult for me to find a nitch that I could fit into. I didn't want to be just another web designer blogging about the web, and I didn't want to be someone who was just blabbing incessantly about my own life where there's no interest. For this reason, I created Chicks With Dice.

The original purpose was for me and two of my friends to write articles about gaming as girls, although it since morphed really into being more my blog with some guest entries. Unfortunately, I realized that it was too much of a nitch. When I wanted to talk about a wonderful dinner at a local diner or my great relaxing evening, or even about web design, none of it fit on Chicks with Dice.

You should, however, still find my posts about gaming on the site, and I am still in love with the design!
